Houston is a Mac app that keeps your projects in a sidebar and runs Claude Code in real terminal tabs. It tells you which session is working, which one is waiting for you, and how much of your quota is left.
Run five sessions and you stop knowing which one finished. Houston adds Claude Code Stop and Notification hooks to every Claude tab, so it hears the moment a turn ends or Claude asks for permission, short answers included.
A spinner on the tab and the project while Claude streams.
An orange dot on the tab, a count on the project.
How many sessions wait, even with Houston hidden.
Only while you are in another app. Click it to land on that tab.
Start a Claude tab in a fresh claude --worktree with one click. When the work lands, the Worktrees window shows which copies are finished, with PR state from GitHub, and clears them out.

Under every tab: its branch, commits to push, uncommitted files you can open as a diff, and the PR on GitHub. For Claude tabs, the context used, the cost so far, and your 5-hour and weekly limits with the time until they reset.
Your own status line keeps working. Houston reads the same data Claude hands it, then passes it on.
A side panel of the prompts you send every day. A click types one into the open tab. Long prompts arrive as one message, and you choose per template whether it sends right away or waits for you to add a line.
/ios-ota↵/ios-testflight↵/code-review↵Commit the changes with a clear message.⌶Turn on the lock and Houston hides every terminal behind Touch ID or your Mac password, right in the window, the way the Passwords app does. Sessions keep running underneath. It locks with ⌘L, when the screen locks, or after a while in the background.
Tabs return after a restart, each Claude tab with its own conversation through --resume.
Projects in sidebar order, plus named tabs you can rename with a double-click.
For an hour, eight hours, or for as long as Claude is working.
The Xcode app icon or the site's favicon, found in the project folder.
Hand Houston a chat or a log; it shows you the text before it reaches Claude.
